A recent study showed that patients who were prescribed tadalafil (Cialis) after prostatectomy or radiation therapy for benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) showed similar improvement in quality of life. The study authors, however, concluded that the study was not a randomized clinical trial, and that the results were insufficient to warrant a recommendation in favor of tadalafil (Cialis).
The authors wrote, “Although this study demonstrated the efficacy and safety of tadalafil (Cialis) in the management of BPH, we found no difference in treatment-related adverse events between patients taking tadalafil (Cialis) and those who were not. The study did not detect clinically significant differences in the occurrence of adverse events in the other groups, and it was not a randomized controlled trial.”
This is not the first study that suggests that taking tadalafil (Cialis) during radiation therapy for BPH may lead to better patient outcomes. In fact, the study authors cautioned that the results should be interpreted with caution as not all patients treated with tadalafil are prescribed it.
According to the authors, the results were based on a small, placebo-controlled, trial, which was conducted by the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project at the National Cancer Institute, and it was the result of a large, randomized, and open clinical trial.
The researchers concluded that the results were not in favour of tadalafil (Cialis). However, it should be noted that the study authors also wrote, “The use of tadalafil (Cialis) in the management of BPH is generally contraindicated, but in some cases, there are other factors that might affect its efficacy, such as an underlying disease of the prostate, radiation therapy, or other comorbidities.”
The authors said that, in most cases, the results would be interpreted with caution. However, there are some cases where patients taking tadalafil (Cialis) in the management of BPH are prescribed it despite an inadequate response. For example, in patients treated with tadalafil, the symptoms are usually resolved after a few days of treatment. In another case, a patient was prescribed tadalafil (Cialis) for an additional reason, because of an underlying condition. This is because there are also other factors that could affect the efficacy of tadalafil (Cialis).
In general, the authors said, “Although the results were insufficient to warrant a recommendation in favour of tadalafil (Cialis) in the management of BPH, it should be noted that the results were not evaluated in a randomized, controlled trial and the results were not assessed in the context of the treatment.
“Although tadalafil (Cialis) may be used in the treatment of BPH, other factors that might affect the efficacy of tadalafil (Cialis) are also relevant. These are the potential side effects of tadalafil (Cialis). Other factors could affect the efficacy of tadalafil (Cialis) in the treatment of BPH.”
The authors recommended that patients taking tadalafil (Cialis) should receive the lowest effective dose of tadalafil (Cialis) and not the lowest dose of any other medication for BPH. However, the authors cautioned that the results should be interpreted with caution because the results were not evaluated in a randomized clinical trial and the results were not evaluated in the context of the treatment.
The authors recommended that the results of the study be interpreted with caution in cases where the patients were not receiving tadalafil (Cialis) or who had been prescribed tadalafil (Cialis).
This study is an example of the importance of the use of tadalafil (Cialis) in the treatment of BPH. This study did not provide a recommendation on the use of tadalafil (Cialis) for the treatment of BPH. However, it should be noted that the study authors did not report an increase in overall adverse events, although they did comment that they were not able to recommend this use in the context of the treatment.
The authors also suggested that the results of the study be interpreted with caution in cases where the patients were not receiving tadalafil (Cialis) or in those who had been prescribed tadalafil (Cialis).

Objective:To compare the efficacy and tolerability of 2 sildenafil (Viagra Soft tabs) and tadalafil (Cialis Cialis).
Methods:A total of 12 men with erectile dysfunction and a history of priapism were randomized to receive either a single 50 mg dose of either sildenafil or tadalafil, or a 50 mg dose of tadalafil. Each man received either sildenafil or tadalafil at a dose of 50 mg and tadalafil at a dose of 100 mg daily. The efficacy of sildenafil and tadalafil was assessed by assessing erections, duration of erection and duration of sexual intercourse. For the sildenafil, a single dose of 25 mg tadalafil was given at a dose of 50 mg and a single dose of 25 mg sildenafil was given at a dose of 50 mg tadalafil. For the tadalafil dose, a 50 mg tadalafil dose was given at a dose of 100 mg daily. The duration of sexual intercourse was assessed by observing the time it took for a man to complete sexual intercourse. Tadalafil doses were significantly longer than the sildenafil and tadalafil groups, respectively, at the 50 mg tadalafil dose. The mean percentage of sildenafil and tadalafil efficacy at the 50 mg dose was 76.9% and 77.7% respectively. The mean percentage of sildenafil and tadalafil efficacy at the 100 mg dose was 69.1% and 75.3% respectively.
Results:The mean duration of erections was 10.5 minutes and the mean duration of intercourse was 21.6 minutes. The mean percentage of duration of sexual intercourse was 10.3%. The mean percentage of frequency of successful intercourse was 3.5% and the mean percentage of intercourse attempts was 5% at the 50 mg and 100 mg doses. The mean percentage of sildenafil and tadalafil efficacy at the 100 mg dose was 76.8% and 78.7% respectively.
Conclusion:The sildenafil and tadalafil efficacy in the 100 mg dose was significantly greater than the sildenafil and tadalafil efficacy in the 50 mg dose. The mean percentage of duration of sexual intercourse was 3.5% and the mean percentage of frequency of successful intercourse was 5%. There was no significant difference in the efficacy and duration of erections between the two doses.
